A survey conducted in October 2026 by Mail and Hi-Tech Mail involved 1,765 respondents. The study examined how users utilize artificial intelligence for professional and personal tasks, as well as their concerns regarding data security and model performance.

For professional tasks, 43% of users trust AI with photo editing, 35% with document editing, and 30% with presentations and reports. In personal scenarios, 17% of respondents use AI to draft private correspondence.

Data privacy remains a significant concern: 71% of participants refuse to share personal data with AI, 61% withhold financial information, and 32% avoid sharing health-related details. Only 13% are willing to input any type of data into AI systems.

Users identified several factors hindering productivity when interacting with AI. Specifically, 48% cited overconfident answers, 38% noted the need to repeatedly explain context, 25% mentioned template-based phrasing, and 24% complained about overly long responses.

Furthermore, 20% of users find excessive AI politeness distracting, while 14% dislike formal or unnatural communication styles. Respondents emphasized that AI should not replace human interaction, with 15% specifically opposing the delegation of personal data management to machines.
