The Russian messenger MYS, developed by ninth-grade student Andrey Deulenko, operates without an internet connection. The application facilitates communication between two computers within the same network, functioning as a decentralized system that eliminates the need for central servers or intermediaries.
Built using the Python programming language, the software utilizes a secure remote access protocol to encrypt messages. According to presentation materials, the messenger employs the SSH network protocol for data transmission. The interface includes a contact list, message history storage, and a dark mode feature.
The project was developed at the Altair Children's Technology Park, part of the RTU MIREA university. The developer has not disclosed details regarding supported operating systems or the potential for file transfers. The university representatives emphasize that the decentralized architecture prevents data storage on third-party servers.
