Rosoboronexport is set to unveil its multi-layered anti-drone defense concept, dubbed the Anti-Drone Dome, at the third Russia-Africa summit. The event will take place on October 28–29, 2026, at the Gostiny Dvor venue in Moscow.
The system is designed to protect civilian populations, military units, and critical infrastructure, including transport hubs, energy facilities, and bridges. It can also be configured to secure vehicle convoys and transport for high-profile individuals or sensitive cargo.
The development team, comprising Rosoboronexport specialists, domestic manufacturers, and security agencies, integrated experience from military and counter-terrorism operations. The system combines detection, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and physical defense tools.
Alexander Mikheev, head of Rosoboronexport, emphasized that drone defense is now essential for economic stability and the protection of critical infrastructure. He noted that such systems are vital for maintaining logistics and securing investments.
The Russian defense portfolio is also expanding to include mass-produced laser systems. Additionally, electromagnetic pulse complexes are currently in the final stages of testing.
