Specialists at the Russian Federal Nuclear Center (RFNC-VNIIEF), part of Rosatom, have completed the development of a high-performance computing communication system. The solution is designed for supercomputer clusters, data centers, and AI platforms, offering data transfer speeds of 200 Gbps.
The project began in 2015, with the initial model providing 40 Gbps. The updated version features 10 communication channels and supports peak loads of up to 300 Gbps. The architecture utilizes a domestic microchip, a PCI Express 3.0x16 controller, and a full-matrix switch to prevent bottlenecks.
The system employs non-blocking switching, ensuring that adding new nodes does not degrade performance. Adaptive routing and parallel processing mechanisms allow for simultaneous handling of multiple data streams. The technology will be showcased at the Microelectronics forum in Sirius from September 27 to October 3, 2026.
