Ripple has entered into a strategic partnership with the South Korean firm Meritz Securities. The agreement, signed on October 1, 2026, focuses on exploring the integration of Ripple Custody and tokenization infrastructure into the local capital markets.

This deal represents Ripple's first collaboration with a Korean securities company and its fourth institutional partnership in South Korea during 2026. Previous partners this year include Kyobo Life Insurance, Kbank, and Jeonbuk Bank.

The collaboration is exploratory, covering areas such as digital asset ETFs, fractional investment products, security token offerings, trading platforms, and stablecoins. No commercial product launches have been confirmed.

The partnership aims to prepare for upcoming changes in South Korea's security token framework, which are scheduled to take effect on February 4, 2027. Both companies intend to align their operations with these new regulations.
