Renault is considering a production version of its new 8 Gordini electric concept, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show. The two-seater coupe draws design inspiration from the classic 8 Gordini model of the 1960s.
CEO Fabrice Cambolive stated that the company is open to the project, provided that the upcoming 5 Turbo 3E model successfully reaches customers first. The 8 Gordini concept currently features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 266 horsepower.
Concept car boss Roman Gauvin emphasized that the vehicle is designed to be agile and approachable rather than a high-performance track machine. Renault has not yet confirmed the technical architecture for the potential production vehicle.
