ReleasePad has introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to integrate changelog management with AI coding agents. The tool enables assistants like Claude, Codex, and Grok to draft, publish, and analyze product updates directly within a conversation. Users connect the service via OAuth without needing to manage API keys.
The system allows AI agents to review merged code, generate customer-facing release notes, categorize entries, attach images, and schedule posts. All drafts require human approval before publication. Once approved, the content is distributed through an in-app widget, a public changelog page, and an LLM-ready Markdown feed.
The MCP server is included in the ReleasePad Pro subscription, which costs $35 per product per month and supports unlimited team members. A free tier is also available on the company website. Currently, more than 150 teams utilize the platform to automate their release communication processes.
According to CEO Felix, the integration aims to bridge the gap between code development and user communication. By enabling AI to handle the drafting and publishing workflow, the platform ensures that product updates are consistently documented and accessible to both human users and AI assistants.
