Qualcomm unveiled two flagship smartphone processors, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, at its annual Snapdragon Summit. The new chips feature sensing hubs capable of running small models with up to 200 million parameters locally, enabling features like real-time voice-in and voice-out agents, speaker differentiation, and task automation.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 supports running a 30 billion parameter mixture-of-experts model locally. This version also enables video recording at 8k60fps and 4K240 for slow-motion, alongside the new Advanced Professional Video codec. Both chips include AI-driven vocal enhancement, noise reduction, and voice bubble technology for call isolation.

The new processors offer pixel-level camera control, improved stabilization, and enhanced motion understanding. These capabilities are designed to support professional-level mobile photography and videography experiences.

Motorola announced the Motorola Signature 27 smartphone, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The device is expected to be available for purchase later this year.
