Project Eleven has officially acquired Riva Labs, a firm focused on post-quantum cryptographic solutions for public blockchains, including Ethereum. The deal, announced on September 29, integrates Riva Labs' team, intellectual property, and specialized technology into Project Eleven's infrastructure projects.
Riva Labs brings expertise in post-quantum signatures, multi-party computation (MPC), account abstraction, and wallet infrastructure. The team has previously demonstrated the practical application of post-quantum signing on consumer-grade hardware, which will now be integrated into Project Eleven's research and product development.
The companies intend to collaborate on a comprehensive transition to post-quantum security, covering key management, protocol infrastructure, and wallet systems. They will also leverage artificial intelligence in their engineering workflows, as AI is increasingly used to both develop new cryptographic methods and identify potential attack vectors.
Project Eleven CEO Alex Pruden stated that the acquisition aims to bridge the gap between theoretical cryptographic research and practical system implementation. Riva Labs co-founder Matteo Vena noted that both teams shared a common vision regarding the urgent need to prepare public blockchain networks for the post-quantum era.
