Security Operations Center teams frequently struggle to process the high volume of alerts generated by correlation rules. In large organizations, systems can trigger over 10,000 notifications daily, making manual investigation of every event physically impossible for analysts.
Data indicates that nearly two-thirds of security alerts remain uninvestigated, particularly those with lower significance levels. This gap allows attackers to hide their activities within the background noise of standard network operations.
Positive Technologies conducted a simulation of insider threats to test traditional signature-based systems. The analysis revealed that standard correlation rules identified only three alerts categorized as medium or low significance.
To address these challenges, the company integrated the MaxPatrol BAD behavioral analysis module into its MaxPatrol SIEM platform. The new AI-powered assistant, PT Naira, is designed to bridge the gap between initial detection and final incident understanding.
