Plugit has performed the first public Megawatt Charging System (MCS) session in Finland. The test involved a Volvo FH Aero Electric truck at the company's PRO charging station located in Kotka.
The Volvo FH Aero Electric model supports charging speeds reaching 700 kW and offers a driving range of up to 700 km. The charging process utilized the Volvo Open Charge service alongside Plugit hardware.
Plugit currently manages approximately 350 public charging points, with nine stations specifically equipped for heavy-duty vehicles. The company provides MCS access at locations in Kotka and Lieto.
The network is expanding with a new heavy-duty charging site currently under construction in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Plugit's infrastructure is also available for delivery vans and smaller commercial vehicles.
