UK-based startup PlannerPal has secured $6 million in a funding round led by Mercia Ventures. Existing investor Ada Ventures, which led the company's pre-seed round in February 2024, also participated alongside strategic fintech investors and angels.
The platform is currently used by over 250 UK financial advice firms, including Canaccord Wealth, ValidPath, and Amber River. These clients manage approximately £150 billion in assets. The company notes that 20% of the UK’s top 20 wealth managers utilize its services.
PlannerPal integrates with existing systems such as Iress Xplan, Intelliflo, Curo, Plannr, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and SharePoint. The company is the sole AI partner for the Iress Partnership, with its Xplan CRM Updater covering 400 data fields. It has also expanded into the mortgage market, recently signing Charles Cameron as a client.
The company plans to allocate the new capital toward expanding its engineering and product teams, supporting customer rollouts, and developing client intelligence features. CEO Mark Whitcroft stated that the firm aims to move beyond simple meeting note-taking to better utilize existing client data.
