Peterbilt has expanded its cooperative purchasing agreement with the government agency Sourcewell to include its full range of battery electric trucks. The move aims to simplify the procurement process for municipal and state fleets by removing the need for independent competitive bidding.
The updated contract covers the brand's entire lineup of Class 5 through 8 commercial vehicles, including medium-duty, vocational, and on-highway electric models. This agreement is now extended through July 2028.
Sourcewell serves more than 50 000 member organizations across the United States and Canada, including government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofits. The agency manages the solicitation and evaluation of bids to provide pre-negotiated pricing and terms.
