General Motors has unveiled the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 9C1, a new police pursuit vehicle (PPV) showcased at the Orange County Convention Center. Unlike the electric version of the Silverado, this model is powered by a 5.7-liter small-block V8 engine.
The vehicle delivers 402 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission and features all-wheel drive. The truck offers a towing capacity of up to 9,300 lbs and includes an optional 2-inch lift kit.
The interior of the new police truck features a standard 16-inch touchscreen display. While the display is a standard component across the civilian Silverado lineup, the integration of specific police software remains at the discretion of individual departments and upfitters.
