OTLK ERA, a railway container operator, has completed a project to replace foreign PDF software with the Russian-developed ContentReader PDF. The transition aims to ensure operational stability and security within the company's closed IT environment.

The company processes up to 2,000 documents monthly, including contracts, invoices, and transport waybills. Many of these files are low-quality scans containing tables and multilingual text, requiring advanced recognition and data extraction capabilities.

ContentReader PDF, which is included in the Ministry of Digital Development's registry of Russian software, was selected after market research and testing. The tool offers over 100 features, including document comparison, editing, and electronic signature support.

Currently, approximately 200 employees at the central office utilize the software. The legal department reported the most significant efficiency gains, particularly through the use of the file comparison function, which streamlined contract review and approval processes.
