Innostage has successfully tested an automated migration process for security policies from foreign NGFW solutions to the Russian Continent 4 platform. The project aimed to simplify the transition from Check Point systems to the local security software developed by Kod Bezopasnosti.
The migration process utilizes a specialized conversion tool that transforms configurations from JSON format into a structure compatible with the Continent 4 Configuration Manager. This approach aims to reduce manual labor and minimize human errors during the transition.
The testing phase lasted approximately one month and involved multiple iterations of rule migration, including security and translation policies. Engineers focused on refining the automation via API, which required additional testing and documentation of stable API scenarios due to initial limitations in the technical documentation.
According to Innostage engineer Askar Gibadullin, the vendor-provided tools significantly streamline the migration process. While the resulting configurations still require manual verification, the automation provides a faster and more reliable method for organizations switching to domestic security solutions.
In January 2026, Innostage also conducted independent testing of the Continent 4 NGFW in attack detection mode. The results confirmed that the system meets its stated performance specifications and maintains operational efficiency.
