The OpenIDE 2026.2 update, developed by Astra Group, Axiom JDK, and Haulmont, is now available for both the standard and Pro versions. The release incorporates updates from the IntelliJ Platform 2026.2 and provides unified support for Java, Kotlin, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and PHP.

OpenIDE Pro 2026.2 introduces native support for AI agents via the open ACP protocol. Users can integrate tools such as Astra AI Code, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Cursor directly into the IDE to manage tasks, review code, and execute applications within a single environment.

The updated database client now includes SQL formatting, support for Greenplum, and enhanced Oracle package handling. New features also include JSON highlighting, an improved table editor, and a streamlined process for executing multiple queries and managing Git merge conflicts.

The release features an updated Java profiler for performance analysis and application optimization. Additionally, the platform adds support for Java 27 and Kotlin 2.4. Users can test the Pro version's capabilities, including AI agent integration, with a 60-day free trial.
