OpenAI will present Managed Agents at DevDay 2026, which takes place on September 29 in San Francisco. This new platform capability allows users to build, configure, and deploy AI agents through a unified system, featuring customizable environments, skills, and plugins.
The company has been expanding its agentic AI ecosystem throughout the year. In February 2026, it launched Frontier, a platform for managing AI agents at scale for enterprises. In April, Workspace Agents were made generally available for team collaboration within workflows.
In July, OpenAI released Presence, a product designed for agents deployed in production environments. The upcoming DevDay event is also expected to include announcements regarding AI model updates and security solutions.
The DevDay 2026 event will consist of a livestreamed keynote and technical deep dives. Applications for participation in the event closed on July 10.
