OpenAI has appointed Graham Seamans to lead sales for its cybersecurity division. Seamans previously managed sales operations at xAI, where he joined in August 2025 and focused on selling the Grok chatbot to enterprise clients, particularly within the financial sector.
This appointment marks the third senior sales executive OpenAI has recruited from companies linked to SpaceX within approximately one month. Brian McCarthy joined in September 2026, followed by Ismail Elmas in early October 2026.
The recruitment strategy is directed by Dali Rajic, who became OpenAI’s Chief Revenue Officer in August 2026. Under his leadership, the company is prioritizing enterprise sales growth and exploring potential new revenue streams, including advertising.
Before his tenure at xAI, Seamans spent about eight years at MongoDB, where he held positions as Regional Vice President in the US and Area Vice President for Northern Europe.
