OpenAI and Google Cloud announced on October 21 that the startup's frontier models and Codex programming agent will be available on Model Garden and Marketplace within the next few weeks. This integration ensures that OpenAI models are now supported by all three major US cloud providers.

The latest GPT models will be accessible through Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent. The latter is a universal work assistant designed to route tasks across Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack to the most suitable model. Previously, the agent supported only Gemini and Anthropic Claude models.

This expansion follows the upcoming expiration of OpenAI's exclusive agreement with Microsoft, scheduled for April 2026. Amazon previously announced that it would host OpenAI models via AWS Bedrock. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian emphasized that the platform remains open to any models favored by developers.
