The upcoming OnePlus 16 smartphone will feature a 165Hz display, according to recent leaks. A screenshot shared by a tech blogger shows that the high refresh rate setting can be enabled directly within the system menu.

The device utilizes the new Oriental Screen X4 material with upgraded circuitry. This hardware-level implementation allows the 165Hz refresh rate to function across all downloadable applications, rather than being limited to system software.

OnePlus 16 will come pre-installed with ColorOS 17 and feature new system-level animations. The company also confirmed that the flagship will debut its latest gaming technologies, including the 165Hz mode, a new game kernel, and a triple-chip architecture.

The company previously announced these gaming technology updates during the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gaming Technology event held on July 30. The OnePlus 16 is positioned as the first device in the industry to support a global 165Hz refresh rate.
