OnePlus has officially confirmed the specifications for its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 16, ahead of the scheduled launch on October 12. The device will feature a 9000 mAh battery, marking the largest capacity in the history of the company's flagship series. This represents a 23% increase compared to the 7300 mAh battery found in the previous OnePlus 15 model.
The smartphone will support 50W fast wireless charging and include a bypass charging feature, which allows the device to draw power directly from the charger to reduce heat and battery wear during intensive tasks like gaming. Despite the significant battery upgrade, the manufacturer aims to maintain a relatively compact form factor for the new device.
The OnePlus 16 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, which has already set a performance record in the AnTuTu benchmark. The display will offer a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz. The camera system is expected to consist of three sensors with resolutions of 200 MP, 50 MP, and 50 MP.
The official presentation of the OnePlus 16 will take place in China on October 12. According to reports, the company does not currently plan to release this model in the United States or Europe, and information regarding its availability in other international markets remains unknown.
