OnePlus has unveiled the design of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 16, ahead of its official October launch in China. The device will be available in three color options: Tomorrow's Starlight, Dark Forest, and the premium Martian Masterpiece, which features a unique texture mimicking the surface of Mars.
The smartphone incorporates a metal frame with 1.15 mm screen bezels and a design with rounded corners to improve ergonomics during gaming. A new programmable button has been added, allowing users to assign up to nine different actions, such as toggling the flashlight or launching video recording.
The OnePlus 16 will debut with ColorOS 17 and support a 165 Hz refresh rate across the entire system interface. Additionally, the device introduces the Interstellar Light Effect system, an integrated lighting feature that reacts to notifications, music playback, charging status, and in-game events.
While official pricing remains undisclosed, pre-orders are already open in China. According to industry leaks, the hardware is expected to include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 processor, a 200-megapixel camera, a 9000 mAh battery, and support for 100-watt fast charging.
