The incident occurred on September 21 at Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil. A shipment of Nvidia RTX 5090 graphics cards, valued at approximately $470,000, was stolen before customs clearance was completed.
Two contract forklift operators moved two pallets of the hardware into a waiting truck. A third employee, responsible for oversight, facilitated the unauthorized release of the goods through the airport's electronic system.
Following the theft, a Zotac RTX 5090 card appeared on the local platform OLX with a price tag exceeding $6,000. Investigators linked the serial number of this unit to the stolen shipment, though the listing was subsequently removed.
Authorities have identified three suspects involved in the operation. While the airport administration is cooperating with law enforcement, the truck used in the theft remains missing, and police are currently tracking the distribution chain.
