During the Nvidia GTC keynote in Berlin, Greenpeace protesters interrupted CEO Jensen Huang. The activists questioned the presence of Nvidia Jetson chips in Russian military equipment, specifically drones and cruise missiles.
The protesters challenged Huang regarding the use of company technology in autonomous weapons systems. Security personnel removed the individuals from the auditorium while Huang asked security to go easy on them.
Reports previously identified Nvidia Jetson Orin modules in Russian S-71 Monochrome weapons. Nvidia maintains that these consumer-grade chips are intended for students and developers, not military use.
The company stated that it does not sell products in Russia and cannot track the resale of pre-owned hardware. Despite the disruption, Huang continued his presentation at the three-day event.
