Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and German opposition leader Friedrich Merz discussed integrating AI into Germany's manufacturing, automotive, and mechanical sectors. The German federal government signed a joint declaration of intent with Nvidia to develop advanced models for physical AI in industrial settings.

Nvidia announced plans to invest in four German startups. The portfolio includes companies focused on robotics, hospital information systems, video dubbing, and satellite manufacturing. One of the startups, Avelios Medical, develops AI tools to automate clinical and administrative tasks for healthcare staff.

Siemens is collaborating with Nvidia to advance AI-driven autonomous factories. According to the company, fully virtualized production preparation can reduce engineering workloads by up to 85 percent. Additionally, agent-based production planning is expected to cut costs by up to 20 percent.

Huang emphasized that AI serves as a tool to enhance existing professional expertise rather than replace it. He encouraged German companies to leverage their deep industrial knowledge and data to maintain competitiveness. Merz highlighted that the data accumulated by small and medium-sized enterprises remains a key national advantage.
