Nvidia has invested $2 billion into the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund. This move aims to establish AI data centers as a long-term investable asset class. The fund, launched by Brookfield in November 2025, initially targeted $10 billion in equity and has already secured $5 billion from investors including Nvidia and the Kuwait Investment Authority.
The initiative aims to reach up to $100 billion in total investments by utilizing leverage and co-investment. These funds are directed toward energy, data centers, and compute capacity, specifically supporting facilities designed for Nvidia’s DSX Vera Rubin architecture. This strategy creates a cycle where Nvidia’s capital helps finance the infrastructure that utilizes its own hardware.
This commitment is part of a broader strategy announced by Nvidia in August 2026. The company signed agreements with six major financial firms: Brookfield, Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and KKR. The collective goal of these partnerships is to mobilize over $500 billion in third-party capital to support the development of AI compute infrastructure.
Beyond the fund, Nvidia and Brookfield have already committed $1 billion to expand the AI factory infrastructure for Naver in South Korea. By collaborating with these major asset managers, Nvidia is positioning its data center technology as industrial infrastructure, effectively turning these financial firms into distribution channels for its computing ecosystem.
