The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has fined NTC Module, a domestic microelectronics developer, 91.66 ₽ million. The penalty follows a 432-day delay in completing a government contract for the development of radiation-hardened operational amplifiers intended for space applications.
The original contract, signed in December 2016, was valued at 126.7 ₽ million. The project aimed to create three types of microchips to serve as domestic alternatives to products from the American company Analog Devices. The final acceptance act was signed in September 2020, missing the June 2019 deadline.
The specified microchips were required to operate within a temperature range of -60 to +125 degrees Celsius and maintain a service life of at least 25 years. NTC Module specializes in radiation-resistant solutions, though this is not the company's first encounter with such penalties from the ministry.
In December 2025, the ministry fined the company 53.4 ₽ million for a 719-day delay in launching serial production of an AI-capable processor for spacecraft. Furthermore, in August 2026, NTC Module received a 290.1 ₽ million fine for delays in developing a radiation-hardened processor designed to replace foreign PowerPC chips.
