Novomet-Perm, a Russian manufacturer of oil production equipment, has integrated the PT Network Attack Discovery (PT NAD) system into its infrastructure. The company selected the solution to enhance network traffic analysis and improve the detection of suspicious activities within its internal network.
The decision to adopt PT NAD followed a successful pilot project, during which the system identified an internal intruder. The tool is currently used to monitor corporate traffic, allowing the security team to investigate incidents and create custom detection rules for specific scenarios.
The implementation process was managed by the Abricos group of companies. According to Positive Technologies, the system provides security teams with threat detection rules and indicators of compromise, which help in reconstructing the sequence of events during potential targeted attacks.
