Noble Carbon, a startup based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, has developed smart circuit breakers designed to simplify the installation of EV chargers, heat pumps, and induction stoves. The technology allows users to avoid costly electrical panel upgrades by managing power distribution in real time.

The breakers fit into existing slots in home electrical panels and reportedly take less than five minutes to install. By controlling the three to six largest power-drawing appliances, the system prevents the home from exceeding its electrical capacity during peak usage periods.

The company was founded by CEO Jared Lebos and CTO Andrew Crane. The product has been tested by employees for over a year and is currently undergoing UL certification for electrical safety standards.

Noble Carbon is participating in the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco this October. The startup is also partnering with the utility provider Eversource to install its technology in up to 200 multifamily units in Massachusetts.
