Nissan will officially unveil its new electric city car, the Pixo, on September 23. The vehicle is designed for the European market and will be manufactured in Europe. It serves as a restyled version of the Renault Twingo, featuring a unique front end with squared-off headlights and a revised intake.
The Pixo is equipped with a 27.5 kWh battery pack and an electric motor producing 80 hp and 175 Nm of torque. These specifications allow the car to reach a top speed of 81 mph and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 12.1 seconds. The estimated WLTP range is approximately 163 miles.
Inside, the model is expected to feature a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment system, sharing many components with the Twingo. The hatchback is projected to cost around €19 500. Nissan previously considered the name Wave for this A-segment vehicle before finalizing the Pixo moniker.
