Nirva has secured $33 million in total funding, including a recent $25 million pre-Series A round. The startup previously raised $8 million from investors including Lightspeed and South Park Commons. The company was established in 2025 by former Meta Reality Labs employees Wei Lyu and Jason Chen, alongside Hanying Hu.

The startup is developing a wearable pendant that can also function as a bracelet. The device weighs approximately 8 grams and offers a battery life of up to 3 days. It is designed to passively record only the wearer's voice, filtering out surrounding conversations. The device does not store audio data or transcripts after processing.

The companion app analyzes speech patterns, tone, pitch, and volume to provide insights into the user's emotions and communication style. It also generates reminders and action items. Nirva aims to position itself as a personal insights company focused on self-awareness rather than productivity.

Pre-orders for the device will open in November, with shipments to early users expected by the end of 2026. The pendant will be priced at $249 and offered in silver, brushed silver, black, and gold finishes.
