Google Photos has introduced a suite of new features for its Android and iOS applications. The update includes the Redact tool within the Markup menu, allowing users to blur or pixelate sensitive information on images. This tool also features adjustable brush thickness and new font options for text overlays.
The new Moods feature offers filters designed to provide a vintage or nostalgic aesthetic, including effects mimicking 35mm film and early 2000s digital cameras. These filters use intelligent adaptation to adjust based on the specific content of each photo. Additionally, 15 new Remix templates have been added, offering styles like birthday cards and photo booth layouts.
The Wardrobe feature is now available in Brazil, India, and the United States for Android and iOS users, requiring a Google AI Pro or AI Ultra subscription. Furthermore, the service has integrated the Gemini Spark AI agent to enhance its capabilities.
