Ana Maiques, co-founder of the neurotechnology company Neuroelectrics, will speak at the upcoming EU-Startups Summit. The event is scheduled for May 13-14, 2027, in Malta, with organizers expecting around 2,500 attendees, including founders and investors.

Founded in 2011 in Barcelona by Ana Maiques and Giulio Ruffini, Neuroelectrics specializes in non-invasive brain monitoring and stimulation technologies. The company emerged as a spin-off from Starlab, a research firm also co-founded by Maiques.

In 2021, Neuroelectrics secured €15 million in a Series A funding round led by Morningside Ventures. Additionally, the company received approximately €4.49 million in EU funding for its NeuroTwin initiative, which focuses on personalized brain modeling.

The company expanded to the Boston and Cambridge life-sciences ecosystem in 2014. Currently, its technologies are utilized in more than 74 countries across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
