NEAR AI Cloud has integrated Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 5.5 into its platform. The model features a 1 million token context window and adaptive reasoning. It achieved a 70.6% score on the Terminal-Bench 4.0 coding benchmark, compared to 10.3% for the previous Sonnet 5 version.
The service is accessible via the cloud-api.near.ai gateway, which supports both OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-native API formats. Pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, matching Anthropic’s standard rates.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 operates as an Incognito model on the platform. Unlike other models hosted in Trusted Execution Environments, this version uses a proxied connection to Anthropic’s infrastructure with non-retentive interactions.
The platform utilizes the NEAR token for payment, where users stake tokens to generate compute credits for API calls. NEAR AI Cloud currently supports dozens of models and has recently joined the OpenRouter network.
