MTS Web Services analyzed the demand for backup solutions in the second quarter of 2026. The Chelyabinsk region ranked 16th in Russia by the volume of backup service consumption and 18th by the number of companies utilizing these cloud services.
Within the Ural region, the Chelyabinsk region holds the third position in terms of the number of businesses adopting backup solutions. The primary users of the MWS Cloud platform in the region include enterprises in the manufacturing, wholesale trade, automotive retail, and construction sectors.
The MWS Cloud platform enables businesses and individual entrepreneurs to store backups of servers, operating systems, databases, and applications. In the event of data loss, information can be restored within the virtual infrastructure or exported to the client's own site.
According to Alexey Bykov, director of MTS in the Chelyabinsk region, the adoption of virtual infrastructure allows local enterprises to manage IT resources flexibly. This approach helps companies avoid significant capital expenditures on physical hardware while ensuring the protection of critical data.
