MTS has expanded its LTE network coverage in the Chita district, specifically targeting residential areas in the villages of Karpovka and Smolenka. The company installed a new base station on the border of these two settlements to eliminate connectivity gaps in the Blagodatny and Chistiy Klyuch neighborhoods.
The new infrastructure provides high-speed internet access to residential homes and local social facilities, including a kindergarten, medical clinics, pharmacies, and sports grounds. The network supports VoLTE technology, which enables improved voice call quality for residents.
According to Denis Boyko, director of MTS in the Zabaykalsky Krai, the company is prioritizing infrastructure upgrades in rapidly growing suburban areas. Previously, MTS deployed two base stations in the Aracha gardening partnership, the DFTB neighborhood, and the village of Ivanovka.
