MTS has introduced a new 15-meter multifunctional tower, the MFO-15, designed for remote and sparsely populated areas lacking grid power. The structure includes a climate-controlled cabinet with lithium batteries and a diesel generator. It can be assembled by three people and a crane in three hours.
The MFO-15 is intended for use along highways, railways, mining sites, and construction zones, as well as for Private LTE/5G networks. A single fuel refill for the diesel generator allows the base station to operate autonomously for 12 days. The cycle can be repeated after refueling.
By early 2027, MTS plans to deploy its first ten aeromobile communication complexes based on aerial vehicles. These systems are designed for rapid deployment in remote regions and can also support Private LTE/5G networks for industrial sites located in hard-to-reach areas.
