MTS has completed a network upgrade in the Kurgan region, specifically targeting the Shatrovsky, Ketovsky, and Kargapolsky districts. The operator performed a refarming process, converting existing 3G base stations to the LTE standard to enhance overall network performance.

The technical update affected over 10 settlements across the specified districts, including suburban areas near Kurgan. According to the company, these improvements resulted in an average mobile internet speed increase of 20% for local subscribers.

The infrastructure modernization allows for more efficient load distribution, ensuring stable voice services and data transmission for a larger number of users. The upgrade also expanded access to VoLTE technology, enabling high-quality voice calls while maintaining active data sessions.

Tatyana Vazhenina, Director of MTS in the Kurgan region, stated that the company continues to develop its regional infrastructure. The project aims to improve connectivity in rural areas, popular recreational spots, and along major transport routes.
