MTS has deployed a private LTE network at a major mining site in the Far Eastern Federal District. The infrastructure supports high-speed data transmission for mining machinery, employee mobile devices, and production systems across the quarry area. The project is designed to be scalable, with a future transition path to Private 5G to support autonomous equipment and advanced industrial automation.

The network currently connects up to 150 units of mining machinery. This integration allows dispatchers to monitor equipment location, fuel levels, and technical status in real time, enhancing operational control and site safety. The system architecture utilizes a geo-redundant core developed by the Russian company STC Protei to ensure high reliability despite the challenging terrain and severe weather conditions.

In addition to machinery, the network supports 120 mobile devices used by staff for maintenance and repair management. Employees can perform equipment inspections and transmit data directly to production systems from the field, eliminating the need to return to stationary workstations. The infrastructure is built to accommodate future expansion, including industrial video surveillance and additional sensors.
