MTS has launched a 5G network in Vsevolozhsk, marking the first deployment of this technology in the Leningrad Region. The network operates on existing LTE 2100 MHz frequencies, utilizing the principle of technological neutrality to cover areas with high subscriber density.

The 5G coverage in Vsevolozhsk includes districts such as Melnichny Ruchey, Rumbolovo, Kotovo Pole, and Utkina Zavod. The service is also available near key local landmarks, including the Alekseevsky Park, the Derzhavinskaya park area, the Vsevolozhsk Center for Culture and Leisure, and the Rumbolovskaya Gora memorial.

Connectivity is provided along major transport routes, specifically the Koltushskoye Highway and the Road of Life. According to Alexander Solovenchuk, Director of MTS in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, data transfer speeds are expected to increase by 15-20% during the initial phase of the rollout.

This launch follows the September 11, 2026, deployment of a gigabit 5G network in St. Petersburg, which operates in the 4.9 GHz band. Additionally, MTS introduced 5G on LTE 2100 MHz frequencies in St. Petersburg, reaching speeds of up to 1.5 Gbit/s in high-traffic locations like Pulkovo Airport and Gazprom Arena.
