The board of directors of MTS approved a new dividend policy for 2027–2028. The company plans to return up to 20% of its annual OIBDA to shareholders during this period. The strategy includes a combination of dividend payments and share buybacks.

Under the new framework, 70% of the total capital return, equivalent to 14% of the reporting period's OIBDA, will be allocated to dividends. The remaining 30% is designated for share repurchases. The company has set a minimum annual target for total shareholder returns at 70 ₽ billion.

MTS intends to distribute dividends at least three times per year, with the first payment expected in January 2027. The company plans to execute a total of six dividend payments throughout the duration of the policy. Share buybacks will be subject to separate board decisions.

CEO Inessa Galaktionova stated that the company is shifting from a fixed dividend model to performance-based payouts. This change aims to better reflect business growth, as the company reported an average annual OIBDA increase of 9.3% over the past three years.
