MSI has expanded its power supply unit lineup with the new MAG A1200PLS PCIE5, a 1,200-watt model featuring 80 PLUS Platinum certification. The unit is built on a platform from OEM manufacturer CWT and complies with the ATX 3.1 standard, supporting power spikes as defined by the specification.
The power supply includes advanced safety features, such as an audible alarm system that triggers if the 135mm cooling fan stalls or if individual conductors in the 12V-2x6 connector experience overcurrent. The unit features a 12V-2x6 connector rated for 600 watts and five additional 12V connectors for CPUs and expansion cards.
The device utilizes a 135mm fan with a fluid dynamic bearing that runs continuously. During testing, the unit demonstrated a peak efficiency of 94% and maintained voltage stability within 2% on the 12V rail. Under maximum load, it achieved a hold-up time of 19.6 ms, exceeding the ATX 3.1 requirement of 12 ms.
Most included cables utilize 16 AWG conductors for high-current applications. The unit is priced at approximately 17,299 ₽ and comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
