Thermal Grizzly has introduced the PhaseSheet PTM Pro, an updated phase-change thermal interface material designed for CPUs and GPUs. The product features an improved chemical composition and a new carrier film, which simplifies the application process and reduces the risk of material damage.
The material remains solid at room temperature, facilitating easy installation, and transitions to a liquid state when temperatures exceed 45 °C. This phase-change mechanism helps prevent the pump-out effect, where thermal paste is gradually pushed out of the contact zone due to thermal expansion and contraction of components.
For optimal performance and minimal layer thickness, the manufacturer recommends using cooling systems with high mounting pressure, specifically in the range of 300–400 N. The interface is electrically non-conductive and is designed for long-term stability and high thermal conductivity.
The PhaseSheet PTM Pro is currently available for purchase through the official Thermal Grizzly website. The thermal pad, measuring 40 × 40 mm, is priced at $23.28.
