Starting September 22, 2026, the Moscow Exchange will launch perpetual futures contracts for indices tracking Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and Tron. These instruments are available exclusively to qualified investors. The new contracts are cash-settled and do not involve the physical delivery of the underlying assets.
The exchange noted that these futures provide a mechanism for tracking digital asset price movements within a regulated infrastructure. The contracts are quoted in USD, with settlements conducted in Russian rubles. The funding rate parameters K1 and K2 are set at 0% and 0.35%, respectively.
Maria Patrikeeva, managing director of the derivatives market at the Moscow Exchange, stated that the launch addresses investor demand for digital asset derivatives within the Russian legal framework. Since the introduction of the first digital asset futures last summer, over 72,000 qualified investors have traded these instruments, with total transaction volumes exceeding 600 ₽ billion.
These new additions expand the exchange's existing lineup of perpetual futures, which currently includes 31 contracts covering currency pairs, government bond indices, precious metals, and various domestic and international securities.
