Montage Technology has officially launched mass production of its new CK01P client clock driver (CKD) chip. The component is designed for DDR5 memory modules and supports data transfer rates reaching 9200 MT/s.
The chip adheres to the JEDEC DDR5CKD01 specification and is intended for use in next-generation client memory modules, including CUDIMM, CSODIMM, CQDIMM, and CAMM formats.
The CK01P features three clock driver modes: single PLL, dual PLL, and PLL bypass. It utilizes a zero-phase delay architecture and allows for programmable delay per channel, enabling adjustments to output characteristics via control registers.
To optimize efficiency, the chip can disable unused clock outputs to reduce power consumption. The manufacturer states that the component is designed to meet the increasing demands for bandwidth and signal integrity in AI-enabled client platforms.
