Mitsubishi will return to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 3, 2026, after a hiatus since 2012. The company plans to showcase the 2028 Outlander Diamond Trail Edition, a new trim level designed for off-road use. This vehicle will be part of a six-car display, marking the brand's largest presence at the event in over a decade.
The Diamond Trail Edition features a new Rock drive mode for the Super All-Wheel Control system, which utilizes enhanced brake control to manage wheel slip. The system includes a dedicated instrument cluster display for real-time feedback on traction and steering. Additionally, the Multi-View Camera remains active at speeds up to 18.6 mph, and Hill Descent Control engages automatically.
The vehicle includes redesigned bumpers that improve the approach angle to 20.5 degrees and the departure angle to 23.1 degrees. It is equipped with 265/65-18 all-terrain tires and features a unique Trail Green Metallic exterior color. Mitsubishi will present three versions of this model at SEMA, including one stock unit and two modified builds to demonstrate aftermarket potential.
CEO of Mitsubishi North America, Mark Chaffin, stated that the launch aligns with the company's Momentum 2030 strategy. While this debut serves as the first public reveal, the automaker has not yet disclosed pricing or the official market release date for the 2028 model year vehicle.
