Martel Williams, a 27-year-old resident of St. Louis, pleaded guilty on October 26, 2026, to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery. He was part of a group that planned to target the parents of a suspect involved in a major Bitcoin theft.

The planned home invasion aimed to recover approximately 4,100 Bitcoin, which were valued at around $245 million at the time of the original theft from a Genesis creditor in August 2024. The group abandoned the robbery due to concerns about security cameras at the target's residence.

Williams was indicted in May 2026 alongside Sedric Louis and John Davis. Although the robbery was not carried out, Williams faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. He was arrested on July 17, 2026, and is currently free on bond awaiting a sentencing hearing.

The original theft of the 4,100 Bitcoin was executed via social engineering. Following the theft, the parents of the suspect were subjected to a separate violent carjacking and kidnapping by a different group in Florida on August 25, 2024.

The federal investigation into the case has resulted in multiple guilty pleas, including those from six individuals from Florida, Saif Faiq, and Adam Iza. Williams is the latest to enter a guilty plea as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.
