Microsoft has updated the Windows 11 26H2 installation process, effectively closing a bypass method that allowed users to skip the mandatory Microsoft account login during the initial setup.

Previously, users could circumvent the requirement by clicking a 'Learn more' link located on the 'Let's add your Microsoft account' page. This method did not require disconnecting from Wi-Fi, using the command prompt, or editing the registry.

According to reports from @TheBobPony on X, the company implemented a server-side fix that disabled this specific bypass link. Consequently, users installing the 26H2 version can no longer use this shortcut to proceed without a Microsoft account.
