Founded in 2018 in Changzhou, Microintelligence initially focused on AI-powered quality inspection for manufacturers. The company developed systems using machine vision and deep learning to identify and classify defects on products, addressing challenges related to lighting and image capture under real production conditions.
The company evolved by integrating inspection with robotic control, allowing systems to generate movement paths for grinding robots based on identified defects. This transition was marked by the December 2022 acquisition of Jiangsu Zhiyun Tiangong, which shifted the company's focus toward embodied-intelligence industrial robots.
Microintelligence’s product portfolio now includes industrial inspection robots, composite robots, and systems that combine inspection with grinding. These technologies are applied in sectors such as automotive manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, and energy-related industries.
Financial data shows significant growth in the robot segment, which increased from 26.3% of revenue in 2023 to 57% in 2025. Total revenue rose from RMB 434 million to RMB 795.5 million during this period. The company reported profits of RMB 15.7 million in 2024 and RMB 5.1 million in 2025, following a net loss in 2023.
The company is currently pursuing a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, having published its post-hearing information pack on October 9. This move represents a strategic milestone as the firm continues to scale its industrial robot business.
